Late Filing Of Disclosure Statements

Filing disclosure statements late denies voters and the general public of important information that should be current and readily available.  Statements filed late are subject to fine, and the Secretary of State will consider only fine waiver requests based upon specified "good cause" reasons for late filing.  To review the Secretary of State's good cause policy, click:

"Good Cause" Reasons for Waiving Late Filing Fees

In addition to being based on "good cause," a request for waiver of a fine for filing a statement late must be submitted on a Form PRD-1 within 30 days of receiving a liability notification.  For a copy of the waiver request form, click:

Form PRD-1, Request for Waiver of Liability
