As California's regularly scheduled general elections approach, the California Student Mock Election web page is updated with all the materials it takes to stage a well-run student mock election and help young people become informed and engaged voters.
UPCOMING CALIFORNIA STUDENT MOCK ELECTION
October 6, 2026
Each school that registers by September 9, 2026, receives a welcome packet in the mail containing the following items, which will be available in Spring 2026:
- Student Mock Election Welcome Letter (PDF)
- Mock Election Poster (PDF)
- "I Voted" stickers (DOCX)
- Pre-Registration Brochure (PDF)
- High School Student Poll Worker Flyer (PDF)
Supply Kits (available September 2026):
Paper supply kits will be distributed beginning September 2, 2026, to schools that registered by that date and requested paper ballots. Paper supply kits contain:
- Mock Election Ballot (PDF)
- Instructions for Tabulating and Reporting Election Results (PDF)
- Election Results Reporting Form (PDF)
- Mock Election Voter Information Guide (PDF)
Electronic supply kits will be distributed via email beginning September 2, 2026. Electronic supply kits contain:
- Microsoft Forms Voting Instructions and a link to the Microsoft Forms Ballot
- Microsoft Forms Vote Tally Spreadsheet (XLSX)
- Fillable PDF Mock Election Ballot
- Fillable PDF Voting Instructions
