Ballot Measure Total Contributions - 2016

Pursuant to SB 844 (Pavley), Chapter 920 Statutes of 2014, the Secretary of State is required to add the total contributions reported by campaign committees primarily formed to support or oppose qualified ballot measures and to report the sum of those totals as a single amount of total contributions to support or oppose the ballot measure. The law specifies that the amount of total contributions to be compiled and reported as the total contributions to a ballot measure are to be gathered from quarterly, semiannual, pre-election and daily reports at specified times. The total amounts reported, therefore, may not include contributions received by primarily-formed ballot measure committees after the filing deadline for specified reports.
