Voter’s Choice Act (VCA) Outreach Program

Secretary of State, Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D., launched the Voter’s Choice Act (VCA) Outreach Program to partner with counties, community-based organizations, community leaders and student leaders around the state to increase awareness about voting options in the upcoming elections. This program helps to build partnerships and connections between grassroots organizations, county registrars of voters, and communities to help close voter participation gaps. VCA Outreach partners serve as non-partisan trusted messengers who work with the SOS and counties to improve voter education in the communities they serve.

Under the Voter’s Choice Act, voters have “More Days, More Ways” to vote. VCA Outreach partners not only encourage civic engagement in their communities, but help educate about the expanded options under VCA itself. During each election, VCA Outreach partners can expect the following:

  • Consistent email communication from the Secretary of State’s office including upcoming events/opportunities and resource highlights.
  • Social media toolkit (available in 10 languages) with key messaging and deadlines relevant to the election and to VCA itself.
  • Virtual calls to connect with other VCA Outreach partners across the state.
