California Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D., Releases Notice to Candidates Running in the November 3, 2026, Statewide General Election
 

Sacramento, Calif. – In accordance with state law, California Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D., has notified each candidate for partisan and voter-nominated offices of the list of candidates she is scheduled to certify to county elections officials by August 27, 2026.

The notice includes a list of each federal and state offices, and the names, addresses, occupations, and party preferences of all candidates nominated and entitled to receive votes at the November 3, 2026, General Election.

The Office of Secretary of State has also posted the party preference history of each candidate for voter-nominated offices for the preceding 10 years, as required by law. The link to this list can be found at https://elections.cdn.sos.ca.gov/statewide-elections/2026-general/pph.pdf .

Prior to certification of the list of candidates by August 27, 2026, candidates can seek a writ in the Sacramento County Superior Court to amend the information contained on the list.
