Secretary of State Alex Padilla to Speak at Massachusetts Institute of Technology Club of Southern California Annual Luncheon

LOS ANGELES, CA - On Saturday, September 7, California Secretary of State Alex Padilla and Assemblymember Luz Rivas, both MIT alumni, will speak to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Club of Southern California (MITCSC) Annual Luncheon in Los Angeles. This discussion, titled "How to Vote in California (The Mechanics, Not the Candidates!): The Changing Landscape for Civic Participation," will outline strategies to ensure civic participation in California is safeguarded and expanded.

MITCSC is a volunteer organization run by and for the alumni of Massachusetts Institute of Technology living and working in Southern California. The Club's mission is to leverage the MIT connection to enrich the lives of alumni and their communities and act as a communications link between alumni and the Institute.
