Secretary of State Alex Padilla to Serve on Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Voting Rights Panel

 

WASHINGTON, DC – California Secretary of State Alex Padilla will serve on a voting rights panel hosted by Congresswoman Terri A. Sewell (D-AL) at the Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Annual Legislation Conference. Titled Restore the Vote: Election Integrity in the Era of Trump, the panel will discuss emerging voter suppression tactics as well as the fight to ensure all eligible Americans have equal access to the polls. 

Secretary Padilla is a national leader in protecting and expanding voting rights. Padilla has been a vocal critic of the Presidential Commission on Election Integrity for their lack of transparency and unprecedented request for the personal data of every American voter.
