Sacramento, Calif. – California Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D., issued the following statement about Governor Newsom’s proposed 2026-27 state budget:

“One of the Governor's most important responsibilities is to lead with clarity, integrity, and care about how our state allocates its resources.
