February 20, 2024, Report of Registration
SACRAMENTO, CA – Today, Secretary of State Shirley N. Weber, Ph.D., released the final statewide Report of Registration ahead of the March 5, 2024 Presidential Primary Election. As of February 20, 2024, there were 22,077,333 registered voters in California. There was increase of 1,416,868 registered voters since the last Report of Registration at a similar point in a presidential election cycle (February 18, 2020). 82.88% of eligible Californians are registered to vote.

Same Day Voter Registration
California citizens who missed the voter registration deadline — Same Day Voter Registration will be available at every county elections office, polling place, or vote center. Voters will be asked to fill out a voter registration form and then be provided a ballot. Their ballots will be counted once the county elections office has completed the voter registration verification process.
Californians who are unsure of their voter registration status can quickly check it online at voterstatus.sos.ca.gov.
The Report of Registration is a compilation of voter registration numbers reported by California’s 58 county elections offices.
The Report of Registration includes:
· Voter registration by political party, county, city, congressional district, state senate district, state assembly district, state board of equalization district, county supervisorial district, and political subdivision
· Statewide voter registration by age group and by county
· Historical comparisons to previous 15-Day reports of registration
· Voter registration by political bodies attempting to qualify as political parties (by county)
