SACRAMENTO, CA –California Secretary of State Alex Padilla issued the following statement on the passing of Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg.

“Angela and I join millions of Americans in grieving the loss of Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. We extend our thoughts and condolences to Justice Ginsburg’s family. RBG’s trailblazing legacy cannot be overstated as she wrote some of the most consequential decisions in our nation's history. We have lost a true champion of American democracy, but we will honor her legacy by carrying on a relentless fight for a more equitable, just United States of America.”.
