SACRAMENTO, CA - The State Archives will provide a free guided tour in honor of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, documenting the impact of Asian Pacific Americans on California’s rich history and state government. Each guided tour provides a close encounter with the Archives’ one-of-a-kind historical documents and behind-the-scenes views of the preservation and imaging labs and free admission to its Exhibit Gallery. This month's tour will feature special photographs, documents, and records to celebrate Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, including maps showing the railroads on which Chinese Americans worked and photographs depicting Filipino American cultural celebrations.

The Archives tour begins promptly at 10:00 a.m., lasting approximately one hour. As parking downtown can be challenging, please give yourself ample time to find parking. Questions are encouraged and tours sometimes go over an hour, so please ensure that your metered parking allows an 11:30 a.m. return.
