Secretary Padilla Statement on Vandalism of Irvine Synagogue
LOS ANGELES - Secretary of State Alex Padilla issued the following statement on the vandalism of Beth Jacob synagogue in Irvine, CA.
“My thoughts are with the entire Beth Jacob Congregation in Irvine following last night’s hateful vandalism of their synagogue,” Secretary of State Alex Padilla said. “Our freedom of religion should not require the protection of armed guards and round-the-clock surveillance. Now more than ever, Americans must stand together against hate. California’s diversity and inclusion is our strength. Cowardly acts of hate will not change that.”
