Secretary of State Alex Padilla to Speak about Voting Rights and Election Reforms at ACLU Northern California Meeting
SACRAMENTO – Secretary of State Alex Padilla will speak at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Northern California meeting in Sacramento tonight about voting rights and changes coming to California elections in 2018 and beyond. Sacramento is one of five counties implementing the landmark Voter’s Choice Act in 2018. Under this new system, every registered voter is automatically mailed a ballot and vote centers replace traditional polling places to provide voters greater flexibility.
