Secretary of State Alex Padilla and California Business Leaders to Launch
“Democracy at Work 2018”

LOS ANGELES – Secretary of State Alex Padilla will announce the launch of “Democracy at Work 2018,” a non-partisan initiative that encourages businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies to promote voter registration to employees and customers ahead of the 2018 elections. Participating organizations can choose to provide informational materials at physical locations and through social media and web communications, host events aimed at civic engagement, and send internal communications urging employees to register and vote. 

The Secretary will also unveil a new Democracy at Work website, announce new partnerships, and release a promotional public service announcement.
