Secretary of State Alex Padilla to Visit Sonoma County

 

Secretary of State Alex Padilla will visit Sonoma County tomorrow, Thursday, September 29. He will address local Latino leaders at Sonoma State, visit the Charles Schulz museum’s voting exhibit, and meet with students at Santa Rosa High School. 

Los Cien Latino Leaders of Sonoma County Forum "Welcome to the 21st Century"

Secretary of State Padilla will deliver the keynote address at Los Cien Latino Leaders of Sonoma County’s “Welcome to the 21st Century” forum. His speech will focus on increasing Latino engagement in the civic process. Approximately 600 people are expected to attend.

Charles M. Schulz Museum – Voting Exhibit

Secretary of State Padilla will take a tour of the Charles M. Schulz Museum’s “Mr. Schulz Goes to Washington” exhibit on voting. While at the museum, he will cast his vote in the “Peanuts Rocks the Vote” election.

Santa Rosa High School Visit

Secretary Padilla will visit Santa Rosa High School as part of High School Voter Education Weeks (September 19-30). He will discuss the importance of voter registration and the role young people can play in shaping the future through civic participation.
