Secretary of State Alex Padilla to Throw Out Ceremonial First Pitch at San Diego Padres Game
SAN DIEGO – To mark National Voter Registration Day, Secretary of State Alex Padilla will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the San Diego Padres versus Los Angeles Dodgers game, today September 27. As part of National Voter Registration Day, the San Diego Padres will run in stadium public service announcements reminding people to register to vote throughout the games on September 27 and September 28.
As student at San Fernando High School, Secretary Padilla pitched for the school’s baseball team.
October 24, 2016 is the deadline to register to vote in the November 8 General Election. Californians can register to vote online at: http://registertovote.ca.gov/.
