Secretary of State Padilla and Legislators hold events in Los Angeles and Sacramento to Support New Motor Voter Act
September 22 is National Voter Registration Day
Tomorrow, Secretary of State Alex Padilla and legislators celebrate National Voter Registration Day with events in Los Angeles and Sacramento in support of AB 1461—the California New Motor Voter Act.
The California New Motor Voter Act would register every eligible citizen who goes to a Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) office to get a driver’s license or renew one, potentially adding millions of new registered voters to California’s voter rolls. The legislation is currently on Governor Brown’s desk.
