Secretary of State's Office to Conduct Randomized
Alphabet Drawing for Senate District 16 Special Election
- Secretary of State Debra Bowen's office will hold a randomized alphabet drawing to determine the order in which candidates' names will appear on the May 21 special primary election ballots and, if necessary, the July 23 special run-off election ballots in the 16th Senate District.
- The Senate District 16 special election is being held to fill the vacancy left by Michael Rubio, who resigned after accepting a job in the private sector.
- The candidate filing deadline for this contest is March 29.
