Ballot Counting
The Secretary of State has submitted proposed regulations to the Office of Administrative Law related to the counting of ballots. The regulations provide California jurisdictions a clear, concise path for conducting a manual count of ballots. The final rulemaking file was submitted for review to the Office of Administrative Law on August 3, 2023.
