Uniform Commercial Code section 9518 provides a debtor the opportunity to file a correction on a record that is believed to be inaccurate or wrongfully filed. The filing of a correction statement does not change the record, but will reflect in a search of the debtor named in the record.
This Correction Statement (Form UCC5), must be reproduced in a format prescribed by the Secretary of State’s office, including printing on 8 1/2” x 11,” white paper.
Submittals that do not conform to the form specifications will be rejected.
