For Planning Purposes

SACRAMENTO, CA – The California Secretary of State’s Safe at Home confidential address program will participate in WEAVE’s 9th annual “Walk a Mile in her Shoes” event this Sunday, May 19.
Walk a Mile in Her Shoes raises awareness and funds to provide for local violence prevention efforts. For the past nine years, this event has been organized by Women Escaping a Violent Environment (WEAVE), a Sacramento County nonprofit public benefit organization. During this event, individuals and teams raise money for services for survivors of sexual assault, domestic violence, and sex trafficking by walking a mile in women’s high heeled shoes. Safe at Home staff members will have a table at the walk to provide resources and other information about the program.
