California State Archives Offers Free Behind-the-Scenes LGBTQ Pride Month Tour

SACRAMENTO, CA - The State Archives will provide a free guided tour in honor of LGBTQ Pride Month. The State Archives' collections of historic records include more than 100 million documents, 20,000 maps and architectural drawings, 250,000 photographs and thousands of video and audio recordings. Each guided tour provides a close encounter with the Archives’ one-of-a-kind historical documents and behind-the-scenes views of the preservation and imaging labs and free admission to its Exhibit Gallery. This month's tour will feature photos and documents from the California Legislative LGBTQ caucus.

The Archives tour begins promptly at 10:00 a.m., lasting approximately one hour. As parking downtown can be challenging, please give yourself ample time to find parking. Questions are encouraged and tours sometimes go over an hour, so please ensure that your metered parking allows an 11:30 a.m. return.

This is a free, but ticketed event.
