MEDIA ADVISORY:

Secretary of State Alex Padilla to Host Public Event on Voter’s Choice Act and Changes Coming to Sacramento County Elections

SACRAMENTO – California Secretary of State Alex Padilla will co-host a public event on the changes coming to voting in Sacramento County in 2018 as the Voter’s Choice Act is adopted. The event will be co-hosted by the offices of Senator Dr. Richard Pan, Assemblymember Jim Cooper, and Assemblymember Kevin McCarty.

This event will help voters learn how the California Voter’s Choice Act will make it easier for when, where, an how they can cast a ballot. This new election model will provide greater flexibility and convenience by: mailing every voter a ballot, expanding in-person early voting, and allowing voters to cast a ballot at any vote center within their county.
