MEDIA ADVISORY

Secretary of State Alex Padilla’s office will hold a randomized alphabet drawing to determine the order in which candidates’ names will appear on the October 3 Assembly District 51 special election ballot. 

This election is being held to fill a vacancy due to the resignation of Assemblymember Jimmy Gomez. Gomez resigned after being elected Representative of the 34^th Congressional District. 

Candidates, members of the media, and the public are invited to observe the drawing.
