AVC Edge
Touchscreen / DRE Voting System


California county that use AVC Edge:

Imperial, Inyo, Kings, Mariposa, Mono, Monterey, Napa, Riverside, San Bernardino, Santa Clara, Shasta and Tehama

STEP 1:
  • Sign in at the polls. If you would prefer to use a paper ballot instead of the AVC Edge, you may request one at this time.
  • You will receive a voter card.
  • Insert your voter card into the AVC Edge.
  • Touch the language of your choice (if multiple languages are available in your county.)

STEP 2:
  • Touch anywhere inside the box of the candidate or measure of your choice. A large green checkmark will appear to confirm your selection.
  • To change your selection, touch the green checkmark again. It will disappear and you can make a new selection.
  • Touch the "Next" button in the lower right corner to advance to the next screen.
  • Touch the "Back" button in the lower left corner to go back to the previous screen.

STEP 3:
  • After you have made your selections, a review screen will appear for you to verify your selections. To change your selection, touch the box for the contest you want to change.
  • When finished, touch the yellow button in the middle of the screen to cast your ballot.
  • When you see a green square thanking you for voting, you have properly cast your ballot.
  • Your voter card will automatically be deactivated and will eject from the unit.
  • Return the voter card to a poll worker.
