Secretary of State

The Secretary of State has created a PowerPoint presentation that can be used to provide training for new county elections officials’ staff as well as providing a refresher for veteran staff.

Federal Voting Assistance Program

The Federal Voting Assistance Program (FVAP) provides training for elections officials and voting assistance officers. This training is provided through their Online Training Website, and is designed to be completed at your own pace. For more information, please visit the FVAP Online Training Portal.

Outreach Materials

In addition to the Secretary of State’s Tips for California’s Military and Overseas Voters (PDF), there are a variety of outreach materials available through the FVAP website. These include brochures, flyers, fact sheets, digital banner ads, and videos to be used on your website or social media platforms. The FVAP does offer some pre-printed resources, in limited quantities, that can be ordered as well.
