"Get Out and Vote" Activities


In the past, the Voter Participation Unit has focused primarily on ensuring that all eligible Californians are registered to vote before the 15-day registration deadline. This has resulted in such programs as Voter Registration Week. In order to meet the Secretary's goal of 100% voter participation, the Voter Participation Unit has expanded its outreach efforts to include new programs, such as Get Out and Vote activities. Get Out and Vote activities focus on encouraging and reminding California citizens to vote in upcoming elections.
