A Financing Statement (Form UCC1) is filed to perfect a security interest in named
collateral and establishes priority in case of debtor default or bankruptcy.
California statute provides for the exclusive use of the National Financing Statement (Form UCC1) and Addendum
(Form UCC1Ad). Please read the Frequently Asked
Questions page for acceptable revisions.
This National Financing Statement (Form UCC1) must be reproduced in a format prescribed by the Uniform
Commercial Code, including printing on 8 1/2" x 11" white paper. Submittals that do not conform
to the specifications will be rejected.
Please send the original document only. You will automatically receive an acknowledgement copy of the accepted
document and an acknowledgment letter. You only need to send an additional copy if you are requesting a search
using the National UCC 1 form. You need to send additional copies for each debtor name searched, additional copies
should be marked "Search Copy."
