Secretary of State Alex Padilla to Visit Merced College

MERCED – California Secretary of State Alex Padilla will visit Merced College for a forum with students on voting rights, civic engagement, and voter registration. The Merced County Registrar of Voters will also participate in the forum and help register voters.

Secretary Padilla has made increasing student voter participation a priority. In 2016, Padilla announced a partnership between the Secretary of State’s office and the California Community Colleges (CCC) system via a campus-wide resolution.
