“I started the ‘Honor Veterans. Vote’ program in California to provide another way to say thank you to the veterans and active duty service members whose service and sacrifice make our democracy possible,” Secretary of State Alex Padilla. “The right to vote is more than an opportunity—it is a duty. We should honor our veterans and active duty service members by participating in the democracy that so many have fought to preserve. This Veterans Day, I am encouraging all Californians to consider dedicating their votes in honor of a loved one who has served or is currently serving.”
